First community service events!

"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." - Albert Einstein

This week has been the most hectic week by far... but despite the sleep and sanity lost, we still promptly arrived to our service events with smiles on our faces and unwavering missions to give back to the community.  As the Fall 2015 pledge class, we hold the aspect of Community Service to a very high standard, as it is one of the three pillars of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity.

One of the events we organized this past Wednesday, October 7th was an Anti-Litter Campaign held at San Jose State at 7:00 AM. The city of San Jose graciously lent us equipment to give us the opportunity to pick up within our very local community. We've spent so many hours at this school from morning to night these past four weeks, and it felt amazing to be able to clean up our second home. Shout out to Mr. Jeffrey Hendson for cleaning up alongside us!

Only two days after our first service event, we had our second at Second Harvest Food Bank in downtown San Jose on October 9th. The I.N.F.I.N.I.T.E. pledge class was drawn to this service event due to the opportunity to help people in need of food in our own downtown backyard. We may never want to see a cucumber ever again, but the frozen fingers were well worth it knowing that we made a difference as a family.
